About Smugglers Trail
The Smugglers Trail is an Arts Council supported travelling eco-festival focussing on sustainability and folk and roots music. We aim to showcase radical ideas around local food and green energy in a fun and family-friendly environment, bringing together activists, campaigners, artists, musicians and local communities at locations across the country.

Our mission
Festivals are a lot of fun, but they can also inspire and connect us. We believe that the two go hand in hand. As well as showcasing some of the UK's best folk and roots bands, we want to offer a platform for new ideas which can help foster communities connected to the stories of their food, energy and land.

Previous Events
The Smugglers Trail is born out of Smugglers Festival in Deal, Kent. For the past 6 years we have been creating a magical woodland festival packed full of Roots, Folk and World Music, Workshops, Talks and Games, brought together by our DIY ethos.

After making so many incredible connections with artists, musicians, creators, do-ers and thinkers across the country, we thought we best take this event on the road! Come and join us!
